With this data protection declaration we would like to inform you about the extent to which your personal data (hereinafter referred to as “data”) are being processed.

B.    Data Processing

While operating our website we will be processing and disclosing the data by transmitting it.

An EU-US Privacy Shield exists with the Commission as a framework for transmitting data to the USA. In this context the Commission has assured that the guarantees for transmitting data to the USA on the basis of the EU-US Privacy Shield match the data protection standards applying in the EU. Insofar as we transmit data to the USA, we have marked the involvement of our service providers in the EU-US Privacy Shield.

The following lists the affected data, the processing purposes, the legal bases, the recipients and the transmissions to third countries:

a)    Log file

We record your visits to our website whereby the following data are processed: the name of the accessed website and the date and time of your visit, the amount of data transmitted and the type of browser along with the version of the operating system you are using, the referrer URL (of the previously visited website), your IP address and the enquiring provider. This information is needed to ensure the security of the website. We will process the data on the basis of our legitimate interests according to Section 6 Subsection 1 f) GDPR. Unless required for investigating or proving actual violations of rights which have become known within the retention period, the log file will be deleted after seven days.

b)    Hosting

Within the context of hostings, all data connected with operating our website will be stored. This is necessary to enable our website to operate. We will be processing the data on the basis of our legitimate interests according to Section 6 Subsection 1 f) GDPR. To provide our online presence we use the services of web hosting providers to whom we transmit the data mentioned above.

c)    Contact support

Insofar as you wish to contact us, we will process your data (name, contact data, insofar as you have provided these), and your message exclusively to process and handle your enquiry. These data will be processed by us on the basis of Section 6 Subsection 1 b) GDPR or of Section 6 Subsection 1 f) GDPR to handle your enquiry.

d)    Job applications

When you contact us through job@manroland-web.com, ausbildung@manroland-web.com or praktikum@manroland-web.com to send us your application for a position in our company, e.g. by E-Mail, your data (e.g. name, E-Mail address, desired job site, insofar as you have provided this information), your message as well as the transferred application records will be processed exclusively for the purpose of processing and handling your job enquiry. The legal basis for processing your data is mainly Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act BDSG. According to this act, those data may be processed which are needed for decisions on establishing employment relationships.

If the data are required after a job application procedure has been completed, possibly for taking legal action, the data can be processed to safeguard our interests according to Section 6 Subsection 1 lit. f) GDPR, namely to assert or protect against claims.

e)    Newsletter

To keep you up to date on our company and our special offers, we are offering you the service of our newsletter. When you subscribe to our newsletter we will be processing the data you have entered (E-Mail address as well as other voluntary information). We will be sending you the subscribed newsletter after receiving your consent according to Section 6 Subsection 1 a) GDPR.

You can subscribe to the newsletter using the Double-Opt-In procedure. To prevent misuse, after receiving your subscription we will be sending you an E-Mail asking you to confirm your subscription. To verify the subscription process according to the legal requirements, your subscription procedure will be recorded. The time when you subscribed to the newsletter and your confirmation will be stored along with your IP address.

f)     Order processing

We will be processing your order data to implement the sales agreement. The data will be exclusively processed on the basis of Section 6 Subsection 1 b) GDPR.

We will be conveying the details of your address to the company commissioned with handling the delivery. Insofar as this is necessary to implement the agreement, we will also be conveying your E-Mail address or your phone number to arrange a delivery date (Avis) to the company commissioned with the delivery of your goods.

We will be transmitting your transaction data (name, order date, payment method, shipping and/ or receipt date, amount and payee, possibly the bank connection or the credit card data) to the payment service provider commissioned with handling the payment.

g)    Website analysis and marketing

To enable the use of certain functions we will be using so-called Cookies. These are small data parcels which will be stored on your terminal device and exchanged with other service providers. Several of the Cookies we use will be immediately deleted after your browser has been closed (so-called session Cookies). Other Cookies will remain on your terminal device and enable your browser to be recognised when you next visit our website (persistent Cookies).

You can delete all Cookies stored on your terminal device and set the major Browsers to prevent Cookies from being stored.

In this case you might have to reset certain settings during each visit to this website and accept an impairment of some functions.

We will be using the stored data to analyse your use of the website to prepare reports about the website activities for the website operators and to perform additional services associated with the use of the website. We will be processing the data obtained in this manner according to our main interest in promoting our Online offers in accordance with Section 6 Subsection1 f) GDPR. Google will definitely not be using your IP address with other Google data.

We would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension”anonymizeIp()“. This is used to truncate IP addresses before they are transmitted to a server in the USA. In this manner a direct reference to individuals with the stored data is normally excluded. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be transmittd to a server in the USA and truncated there.

  1. Matomo Piwik

On our website we are using Cookies of the Open-Source-Webanalyses software Matomo (formerly Piwik). When accessing our website, Cookies will be storing information about the use of the website (including the IP address). We use the information to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports about the website activities for our internal use, and to provide other services connected with the use of the website and the Internet. We will be processing data obtained in this manner through our interest in effectively promoting our Online offers according to Section 6 Subsection 1 f) GDPR. We would like to point out that this website uses Matomo with the extension “anonymizeIp()“. In this manner IP addresses are truncated before being transmitted. A direct reference to an individual in connection with the stored data is therefore normally excluded. We will possibly convey the stored information to a third party insofar as this is legally required.

Without the separately granted approval of the person concerned, the data collected with the etracker technology will not be used to personally identify the visitor to this website or to link personal data with the holder of the pseudonym. We use external dynamic Content to optimise the presentation and the offers on our website.  When visiting the website an enquiry will automatically be sent through an API to the server of the respective Content Provider, whereby certain log data (e.g. the IP addresses of the users) will be transmitted. The dynamic Content will then be transmitted to our website and presented there.

We use external Content in connection with the following functionalities:

We have incorporated videos of the YouTube portal of YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube“) on our website. When the videos are played, log data are transmitted to the servers of YouTube in the USA. This processing takes place on the basis of our mainly legitimate interest in an optimal promotion of our offers according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 f) GDPR.

We use the map service of “Google Maps” from Google on our website to provide you with an interactive map. When presenting the map, data, including your IP address and your location will be transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. This processing takes place on the basis of our mainly legitimate interest in an optimal promotion of our offers according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 f) GDPR.

To enhance the attractiveness of our website, we use the external fonts of Google-Fonts. These are loaded during a visit to the site by the servers of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). During this procedure Google does not store any Cookies in your browser. However, according to our information the IP address of the user’s terminal device is transmitted to Google and stored there. i)      Social-Plugins

We use Plugins of third-party suppliers on our websites. This will enable you to inform your contacts about how you like our Internet offers and to refer to and share content. The Plugins are marked with the logo of the respective third-party provider.

When visiting our site your data will be transmitted to the respective third-party provider.

If you are also the user of a third-party provider, these data can be attributed to the corresponding user account of the service provider.

C.    Duration of the data storage

D.    Your rights as a data subject

If requested you will at all times be given information free of charge about all your personal data stored by us.

b)    Updating, deleting, processing restriction (blocking), objecting

If you no longer approve of having your personal data stored or if they are no longer correct, we will arrange for your data to be deleted or blocked when instructed accordingly or make the necessary corrections (insofar as this conforms to existing legislation). The same applies insofar as we are meant to only process your data in a restrictive manner in future.

c)    Data portability

Upon request we will provide you with your data in a common, structured and mechanically legible format so that if desired you can transfer them to another responsible person.

As the case may be, information, deletion, blocking, updating and transferring this data to another company is possible if you provide us with the additional information allowing us to identify this data.
